Comparing one thing to another is done by combining one of these words: superior, inferior, maior, menor, pior, melhor & etc. with ‘do que’.
Minha casa é maior do que essa. (My house is bigger than this one.)
Ele é menor do que eu. (He's smaller than me.)
Tudo aqui é mais caro do que na outra loja. (Everything here is more expensive than the other store.)
Foi muito pior do que o esperado! (It was worse than expected!)
