ligar ➜ to call, connect

Use ligar to talk about calling or connecting – almost always when talking about modern technology: telephones, computers, networks.

Ligar can also be used to express caring or, connectedness.

MARCAR is often used when talking about setting a date. The opposite of MARCAR is DESMARCAR. You can also REMARCAR –> reschedule.

Use PEGAR to describe physically getting something; taking a mode of transportation (car, metro, bus). You can also use LEVAR when talking about transport (you can get or take a bus etc).
