Imperfect tense of TER
Ter is irregular in the Imperfect Indicative tense.
✻ The Imperfect tense is used when talking about continuous or ongoing action in the past. Something that used to happen or, would (always) happen.
eu ➜ Eu tinha muito dinheiro. (I had lots of money.)
você, ele, ela ➜ Ela tinha uma casa perto da praia. (She had a house near the beach)
nós ➜ Nós tínhamos aulas toda noite. (We used to have classes every night.)
vocês, eles, elas ➜ Vocês sempre tinham dinheiro. (You all used to have lots of money.)
